Why Wagoner's Workshop

As a truck driver for twenty years, the road has always been my office. Given my love for the Middle Ages and the medieval themes of many beard care brands, I naturally saw myself as the Wagoner—hauling those prized loads of balms and oils.

The Workshop reflects the broad range of crafts and trades we offer. Beyond beard care, you'll find my unique projects, including monthly sticker designs and 3D-printed items, alongside items from other artisans. We're also proud to be a platform for small-batch startups as well as my own to test products.

What’s in it?

What’s in our Tonics (oils), Salves (butters), and Draughts (colognes)?

Our Scents our created by hand blending essential oils and fragrance oils until we find the notes we are looking for. We then let those oils mature together for 48 hours minimum. We then re-evaluate the scent and adjust if needed. It is then added to the Tonic, Salve, or Draught at the highest allowable concentration.

Our ingredients are are selected from non/less comedogenic oils and butters, I have sensitive skin so I’ve looked for blends that will work for people like me:

Jojoba Oil-Jojoba is chemically nearly identical to the natural oils produced by human skin. It tricks the skin into thinking it has produced enough oil, balancing both oily and dry skin types while preventing "beard-ne."

Argan Oil-Rich in Vitamin E and saponins, Argan oil deeply softens the hair’s keratin protein, making even the coarsest beard hair feel manageable and significantly less "crunchy."

MCT Oil (Fractionated Coconut Oil)-Unlike many natural oils, MCT oil does not feed the fungi that cause "beardruff." It keeps the skin under the beard healthy, clear, and flake-free.

Meadowfoam Seed Oil-Known for its extreme stability, Meadowfoam creates a silky, non-greasy protective seal on the hair. It acts as a natural "scent anchor," helping your fragrance last all day while providing a healthy, high-end luster.

Squalane-Squalane has a tiny molecular weight that allows it to dive deep into the skin layers instantly. It provides "slip" and silkiness without leaving a heavy, oily residue behind.

Rosehip Oil-Packed with linoleic acid and natural Vitamin A, Rosehip works at a cellular level to repair the skin barrier, soothe irritation, and heal the "itchy" phase of beard growth.

Vitamin E-Prevents the oils from oxidizing on your face and protects the skin from environmental stressors and UV damage.

Bisabolol-The active heart of Chamomile. This clinical-grade additive provides immediate relief for sensitive skin and significantly reduces redness and inflammation.

Shea Butter (Unrefined)-A rich, creamy base high in Vitamins A and E. It provides deep emolliency and anti-inflammatory properties to soothe "beard itch" and soften coarse hair.

Kokum Butter (Raw)-A powerful, non-greasy hard butter that helps the product maintain structural firmness. It is highly stable and helps heal dry, cracked skin beneath the beard without clogging pores.

Cupuacu Butter (Unrefined)-Known as a "super-moisturizer," it can hold over 200% of its weight in water. It acts as a hydration anchor, pulling moisture into the beard hair fibers.

Shorea (Sal) Butter- Offers a high concentration of stearic and oleic fatty acids. It provides a velvety skin feel and a breathable protective barrier against environmental damage.

Beeswax Pastilles- Provides a natural moisture seal and a very light hold. It helps keep flyaway hairs in place while protecting the skin from moisture loss.

The Draught is an Eau de Parfume with 20% of our hand blended fragrance oil with Perfumer’s Alcohol.
