Black Pepper • Smoked Citrus • Juniper • Mahogany • Red Sandalwood • Labdanum • Vetiver • Birch Tar • Black Tonka

Dark timber. Smoldering citrus. A journey carried deep into the night.

A Journey After Sundown

The trail had disappeared hours ago.

Behind him, the last ember of daylight faded beneath a ceiling of cedar branches. Ahead, the forest stood dark and silent—an endless cathedral of mahogany-colored trunks, wet stone, and drifting smoke.

He pressed onward.

Black pepper and crushed juniper clung to the evening air. Somewhere beyond the trees, a fire smoldered beneath a curl of charred citrus peel. The scent grew warmer as he approached: cedar split by hand, red sandalwood worn smooth by time, and dark resin glowing at the edge of the flame.

There was no map for this part of the journey.

Only muscle memory guiding him.

Only the steady pull of something waiting beyond the shadows.

When the smoke finally cleared, he found a weathered shelter built into the hollow of an ancient tree. Home. And the family awaiting his return. Its walls carried the scent of mahogany, labdanum, vetiver, and blackened tonka.

Some adventures begin beneath an open sky. This one ends at Midnight.
